Organza and Blush Pink Flower Girl Dress

We are always excited when a customer returns to us for another wedding or special event.  “Pegeen, once again you never fail to deliver the most beautiful flower girl dresses!”  It’s no surprise when someone comes to us again and this particular customer has ordered for several weddings.  To think,  I never got to be a flower girl once!  I guess it’s one of the reasons I do this.  For this occasion, our customer ordered Pegeen Classic Flower Girl Dress Style 326 in White Organza, Antique White and Baby Pink silk.  Additionally, she added our special Pegeen Cinderella Bow, attached to the back for an additional $25.  The dress is 100% silk with two layers of white organza and a cotton petticoat.

Bubblegum and Cerise Pink Flower Girl Dress of the Month

Customer ordered Pegeen Couture Flower Girl Dress Style 402 Tulle Flower Girl Dress in Bubblegum Pink and we lined the skirt in Cerise Pink.  Additionally, she added our special Pegeen Signature Bustle, crystal tulle and a special rose called the Heaven Rose in bright pink.  The dress is 100% silk with ten layers of several colors of tulle over a silk liner and a cotton petticoat.  We loved the dress so much we had to name it our Wedding of the Month for September 2012.

Gorgeous Shades of Coral for a Very Special Wedding

There are sometimes in a designer’s life that we can’t wait to see the end result – the finished flower girl dress.  When our seamstresses brought this order over to our design studio room, we just had to photograph them! These dresses were no exception. Our bride gave us her inspiration (more on that in a later post) and we were so excited to get going on the dresses. All together, there were 10 little girls ranging in sizes from 14 months to a girl aged 13.  We made the sleeves in our 3/4 length because of religious concerns.  Each of the coral flower girl dresses were done in different shades of coral and pink like gum drop, sherbert, icing, coral rose, melon, watermelon and so much more.

Degas inspired tulle flower girl dress Style 402 from our Pegeen Couture Flower Girl Dress collection – each in varied shades of pinks, corals, sherberts and gumdrop with our Noelle Rose on the back. The skirt was done in multiple shades of corals, oranges and peaches with one layer of pink.

Flower Girl Dress of the Month in Caribbean Blue and Semi-Sweet Brown Silk

When deciding on our flower girl dress of the month again, I couldn’t help but revisit this blue and brown wedding.  These silk dresses are made in caribbean blue silk, really a soft pale aqua blue with a semi-sweet silk bustle and matching hand made silk roses.  We also made it with the optional v-back.  This style 383 is from the Pegeen Classic Collection.

Flower Girl Dresses of the Month in Petal Pink and Antique White June 2012

Perhaps because I graduated from Colorado State with both my undergraduate and Master’s Degree, I tend to love weddings in the Colorado Rockies.  Many happy years were spent there in that magnificent state.  By now, because of the Telluride Film Festival, I am sure you have all heard of that wonderful city.  However as wonderful as it is for skiing, the summers in Telluride are one of the loveliest settings for a wedding.

About a year ago, we made a lovely tulle flower girl dress for this adorable little toddler.  We layered the skirt colors in very pale pink so it had just a hint of pink in the tulle.  This Tulle Flower Girl Dresses of the Month in Petal Pink and Antique White is from our Pegeen Couture Collections style 402.  Other than layer with color, we added nothing extra to this dress.

We were giddy when we designed it for our customer who wanted the dress pink color to match the cowboy boots.  Man oh man, this customer REALLY wanted me to take notice.  Pink and Cowboy Boots?  WOOT!

Our customer had some wonderful wild flowers as well in the bouquets as well as in pots, jars and buckets all over the ceremony and venue.   Flowers included my favorite, Columbines, the state flower of Colorado.  Absolutely my favorite flower in the world in so many shades it would make your gardening head spin!
