As a mom, I have been very busy getting ready for my son’s wedding so to say I didn’t post for awhile was not the only thing amiss – so for April and also March, we posted a wedding we have wanted to feature and decided to post it for the two months! This Wedding of the Month features two distinctly different flower girl dresses in ballet pink and new ivory.
I remember when I was a young girl, younger than my sister, I loved it when my mother put us in matching dresses. However, my older sister absolutely hated it…. so I suppose when I chose this pink wedding to feature, it would have pleased my sister enormously as she didn’t get to wear complimentary dresses to mine. Each style above is appropriate for their ages. The older sister, wearing Pegeen Fairy Tale Dress Style 909 in silk, tulle and rhinestone straps and her younger sister wears Pegeen Couture Style 402 with a Cinderella Bustle and Bow.
One of our Jewish customers asked us a little while back if we could create dresses for her family’s upcoming wedding. She needed longer, 3/4 sleeves for modesty purposes and Pegeen is just the company to make those changes for them. In all there were over 10 girls ranging from a one year old to a very sophisticated young lady whom I had the pleasure of personally meeting during their visit to Disney World (Pegeen just a mile away from the actual entrance). Her mom was afraid she would feel like one of the “kids” and we decided to make her style slightly more grown up with a black silk pintuck with pearls on each corner in silk.
Medium gray and pewter silk and gray flower girl dress with bling
Each of the age groups had slightly smaller changes – the tiniest girls had 1/4 cap sleeves. The 4 and 5 year old’s had short sleeves and the rhinestone trim at the neck and sleeves was slightly larger and they had a bit more bling at the waistline than the infants and toddlers. The 6-to-10 year old’s had even larger trim as well as a really pretty medallion of bling and rhinestones added to the waist.
Medium gray and pewter silk and gray flower girl dress with bling for the 6 to 10 year old’s were slightly more enhanced with even bigger rhinestone pieces at the waistline as well as 3/4 sleeves
Finally our Jr Bridesmaid’s dress had some sophistication AND some fantastic bling of her own. All dresses based on Pegeen Couture Style 931. The only extra cost was the cost of the larger bling pieces. Just a reminder – although we sell exclusively online, if you are visiting Orlando, we are located just 1.25 miles from Disney World. Add some special bling to your flower girl dress
How can I get a retro look for my wedding?
There are many components to the look of your wedding and reception, from the attire to the décor, music and food that you can style to achieve that look of a bygone era. Weddings are a time for sentimentality and family, often honoring ancestors and cherishing the past. So, if you are one of those people, you should consider using retro components for your wedding.
First, let’s talk about attire. Some brides will wear their mother’s or their grandmother’s white wedding dress, or their great-grandmother’s ivory wedding dress, the center of attention walking down the aisle and setting the vintage tone for the day. For the bridesmaids and the flower girls, certain colors and color schemes evoke certain times in our history. Pink and black and aqua blue and black were very popular in the 1950s. Neutrals and champagne tones were all the rage during the Gatsby era, the 1920s. We at Pegeen are cognizant of the desire of brides to have significant color choices, regardless of the reason. We offer over 200 colors of silk for flower girl dresses, ring bearer suits and junior bridesmaid dresses, allowing brides to create the color palette they envision.
Our website contains thousands of images of dresses and suits in every color combination imaginable to help give brides and moms ideas on what is possible. It is always easier to put together a plan if you have a blueprint readily available. We have 22 pages of Galleries and Testimonials featuring photos of real weddings with our outfits and over 35,000 images of dresses and ring bearer suits that we have made in our 35 year old history of flower girl dresses in various color combinations.
We have traditional styling that lends itself to a classic or vintage look, a look that never goes out of style and the colors to achieve it.
We are just starting to catch up postings after a very busy summer season. This flower girl dress by Pegeen.com in our hot pink is a vibrant color called Boing and the young lady chose bubble gum for the sash and trimmed with a black rhinestone belt. These colors complimented the theme of this Bat Mitzvah and our customer reported that her daughter fell in love with her Bat Mitzvah dress the moment it arrived!

We just received these images from Christine Cornwell, this marvelous photographer in KY who loves to travel to weddings. Here is the shoot but I can’t help but ask you to visit her blog as well filled with eye candy!! Hot Pink tulle flower girl dresses – Photography by Chris Cornwell from Pegeen Couture style 402
We just love Christine Cornwell’s photography, (ChrisCornwellBlog.com). We met her last year at my sister’s son and daughter in law’s wedding, in fact the wedding and photgraphy was so wonderful that we named that our 2015 Wedding of the Year. Christine is the most adorable yet hard working photographer that I had ever had the pleasure to work with in quite some time. Recently, the wedding was featured in Jan/Feb 2016 Bridal Guide and we were honored to be featured as well. So, when Chris said she just had to do a shoot we obliged because we love her work! Chris hails from Kentucky but shoots around the world.
